Introduction

This week we will be covering chapter 8 in the text book.

What You Will Do

• Chapter Reading: Please read chapter 8 "The Workplace" part one.

• Discussion Board: Based off of Chapter 8 in the textbook. Can companies make moral decisions?

• Review Chapter PowerPoint Presentation
  
  
• Submit Interview Project Part 1- Interview Questionnaire

 

Chapter Learning Objectives:

1. The state of civil liberties in the workplace
2. The efforts of some successful companies to respect the rights and moral dignity of their employees
3. The moral issues that some key personnel matters—hiring, promotions, discipline and discharge, and wages—give rise to
4. The role and history of unions in our economic system, their ideals and achievements, and the moral issues they raise
